Summary of changes (EFFECTIVE -August 28, 2017):
Rakuten Marketing has revised its Publisher Membership Agreement (“PMA”) and has consolidated parts of our agreement. The PMA and updated Network Policies and Guidelines will be effective at 5:00 p.m. (EST) on August 28, 2017 (“Effective Date”).

- Section 13.2 (Facilitating payment) – We’ve added some language clarifying that Rakuten Marketing is simply a platform for transmitting and distributing the commission payments.
- Section 13.8 (Inactivity) –We have added a clause that will impact publishers who have not received a commission in the last twelve (12) consecutive months; because of the cost of ongoing account maintenance, those accounts may be permanently closed. Publishers who have been inactive for twelve (12) consecutive months who do have an account balance may be charged an inactivity fee, based on when the last commission was earned.
- Section 13.9 (Right to Assess Fees) –We have consolidated all of our different fee provisions into one section.
