Rakuten Marketing Appoints New Leaders to Drive the Organization’s Tech-Focused Initiatives

SAN MATEO, October 31, 2018 / PR Newswire/ – As a part of the organization’s commitment to hiring dynamic leaders with strong tech backgrounds, Rakuten Marketing is delighted to announce the appointment of Paris Loesch and Julie Van Ullen, who join the U.S. company as General Manager of Enterprise and General Manager of Growth, respectively.  These additions to the Rakuten Marketing leadership team are in-line with the company’s investment in becoming a more tech-centered industry leader in delivering data-driven, multichannel solutions to the marketplace.

Paris is responsible for honing enterprise-level assets and helping position the brand within the broader enterprise and global markets.  As Rakuten Marketing’s enterprise client strategist for these markets, she is responsible for leading and executing the company’s retention and revenue acquisition strategies, plus P&L and operations.  Paris comes to Rakuten Marketing with a strong track-record as a hard-hitting, enthusiastic commercial leader, with extensive experience in corporate strategy, enterprise sales, ad tech, and marketing with strong talents in successfully upskilling, managing and leading high performance teams.  As a recognized, passionate and awarded business executive, she has a consistent history and acumen for optimizing success for large enterprise and global businesses and helping advertisers, publishers and agencies make critical business decisions. Paris has worked for several of the world’s most recognized companies including P&G, WPP, Mondelez/Nabisco and The Coca-Cola Company, and most recently with [24]7.ai, a market-leading customer experience software company in Silicon Valley.

Julie is a vibrant and creative executive with a deep understanding of the digital advertising space. At Rakuten Marketing she will oversee the performance of all US based teams, financial goals, operations, and strategy. She joins the firm from Comcast, where she was Vice President of Sales and Account Management, overseeing the TV ad platform, FreeWheel. She also held executive positions previously at OpenX and the Interactive Advertising Bureau, where she gained a strong background in programmatic, mobile, video and native advertising. Her skillset stretches beyond growing and developing publisher systems, and she is considered highly by her industry peers as a thought leader.
